How to use this site's championship history
Ring Holders Club publishes a reference history of every NBA champion alongside its browser game. Here is how the sections fit together.
The main index at /nba-champions lists every title team from 1947 to the present, grouped by decade. Each entry links to a dedicated page for that season.
Each champion page includes a short teaser, a multi-paragraph article, the featured seven-man squad used in the game, and the rest of the championship roster where we have it. Articles focus on the regular season, the playoff path, the Finals, and one piece of trivia specific to that team.
Franchise hub pages group every title won by the same lineage. The Lakers page covers Minneapolis and Los Angeles. The Warriors page covers Philadelphia and Golden State. The 76ers page covers Syracuse and Philadelphia. Use these when you care about a franchise's full history rather than one season.
Decade overview pages summarize the champions of the 1940s through the 2020s. They are useful for seeing which teams dominated a ten-year window.
The guides section holds longer explainers on topics like dynasty runs, Finals format, and franchise title counts. They link back to individual champion pages when a specific season matters.
The history articles do not explain the Ring Holders Club game. They stand alone as NBA reference material. Player ratings on champion pages are year-specific estimates for the game, not official NBA statistics.
If you spot an error, use the contact page. We update the section when new champions are crowned.
